I have a first gen Amazon Fire TV - with an ethernet port.

I have this hooked up to my router and use DNS4me to unblock various services.

DNS4me advised they are changing their DNS servers yesterday, so I went into the network settings for the ethernet connection and it let me go through and 'change' the DNS settings. Clicked the last button to 'save' and it all looked ok. Went back in to check and the old settings are still showing.

Tried changing about 5 times - no matter what you change - it wont keep them.

There is an option to 'forget' the connection - that doesnt seem to do anything at all. (Does work on wifi only).

Have tried all sorts of combinations of rebooting after changing etc - still no joy.

I ended up pulling out the ethernet cable and setting up a wifi connection - that allowed me to enter the DNS4me DNS settings - but I would prefer to use the ethernet cable if possible.

The only thing I can think of is possibly doing a factory reset - but I would then need to reinstall a bunch of apps and kodi etc which is a bit of a chore.

Anyone else with a Fire TV with ethernet port able to actually change any settings on the ethernet network settings?

Ok - Good to know.

I can't see that I am doing anything wrong and couldn't find any other reports of the problem either - very strange.
