When I create a home group with multiple cast devices the audio works fine but I have one issue.

The chromecast should show song info in bottom left of screen and It does not, i just get the ambient mode wallpaper and clock.

I have tried with spotify and Google play music, yes I have premium for both subscriptions.

Can someone else try a home group setup and see if they get song info

I'm using a second gen chromecast , 2 Google homes, and a Google home hub for my audio group.

Cheers

Have you gone into the device settings for the chromecast (now known as CC) in your home app and turned ambient off?

Changed your ambient settings to display "device information" and turned off time and everything else?

There's heaps of settings in the google home app, but I'm not even going to attempt to replicate your issue, because I have 8 GHs, 2 CCs, and a CC audio, not to mention the built in Fetch Tv CC, the Sony Android TV CC... And I already have 8 "groups".

Plus 75% of the house is in bed.

Sorry..

mine does the same as you, no information on the screen about whats playing, i suspect because you play it to the group as opposed to the chromecast

i have 2 mini's, 1 regular GH and 2 v2 chromecasts

what makes you think you should see it on the screen?
