I have a games weekend planned and have managed to borrow a second projector for a friend to use. The issue is a screen for it. The walls of a suitable size have large windows with curtains, with a curtain rail that protrudes some distance from the wall, so I am really not sure what I can use as a surface that can be temporarily secured.

Anyone got any bright ideas? (pun Intended)

If you're in Auckland, you could hire one from AV World.

I'm sure there are plenty of other places you could hire a screen from if you're not in Auckland.

I wasn't imagining spending $80 a day if I am honest.

Any large white material will do the job temporarily, just make sure its pulled tight and held in place as wrinkles / waves in the fabric will distort the picture. Even a wall, not necessarily white (off white or even light grey will do) just be aware you will see any imperfections.

I decided to pick up a 100" 4:3 screen from TM that has it's own stand. For $60 I can use it for a week and sell it for half price and still be better off than renting.

Hopefully it's not littered with waves / folds like the last one I saw off Trademe for that sorta dough...

@dunnersfella me too!

I never really pay any attention to this, but I assume most games now are in 16:9 format, but pretty much all the screens I can see in the price range indicated see to be 4:3 despite some of the pictures of them looking like 16:9
