Can anyone recommend a good, but simple, IR sensor/blaster kit please.  It's just to control an amp located inside a cupboard.  I don't need a full universal remote set up, as it's really going to be just volume up/down.

Given the the OP simply asked for a recommendation, why don’t you share your info here? Other people may be interested in this.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

For this case, I really don't need an app or anything, just the ability to use a remote for an amp in a cupboard.  It'll have a turntable feeding it for a lot of the time, so that's manual by definition.  Then I just want to sit down on the couch with a scotch and only control the volume.  The rest of the time it will be fed by Sonos, so I already have an app, wifi control etc for that.

I had a bit of a look and thought maybe something like this would be all I need:

But I don't have any experience with anything like this.

Our other lounge with TV, ATV, AV receiver etc has more app like needs, so I think we'll go for a Harmony Companion (the house is being renovated at the mo, so I'm figuring how things will work going forward after that).
