Noel Leeming have LG's 2022 models on their website.

2022 C2 77" 4K OLED EVO (brighter panel) $10999

2022 C2 65" 4K OLED EVO $6200

2021 C1 77" OLED $6097

2021 C1 65" OLED $3487

For anyone with the spare cash, the 2021 models are a real bargain.

We just replaced our 59" 2011 Plasma with a 65" LG C1 OLED and we are stoked with it.

Great piece of kit and we are very happy with our purchase - and it makes the old plasma look VERY dull in comparison.

Great blacks of course, contrast, colours and brightness. Sound is good to albeit we use HT setup. And OS is OK too - but Shield generally used instead.

Great with Series X with all the goodies ie. 4k/120Hz/HDR10 and Dolby Vision Gaming/VRR.

So it was definitely time for us :)

Still waiting for any sign of shipment; got angry and said I was going to cancel. Now I apparently have an alternative source supplying..

Should have just purchased in store for $2700 rather than trying to save a ~$180

Arrived on Thursday, setup on Friday.

As this was my fathers present, he hasn't turned on any smart features and will continue to use his Apple TV.

I did check to see if a random episode of something was able to be played from a USB key - it was, so I may have a reason to use the TV after all

Still need to 'calibrate' and play with the settings some more, but out of the box it looked pretty good.

Looking to upgrade to an OLED from a 2012 Panny plasma.

Panasonic currently offer a cashback on their range of OLEDs.

Does anyone have any experience with the JZ1000? Am interested in how well it upscales and handles sports, as I watch a few games of both rugby codes on the weekend.

Cheers.

Of course Panasonic will start offering cash back on OLEDs a couple of weeks after we buy a new TV! Dang…

I think you’re on the right path looking at OLED, especially given you’re going from a plasma (and so avoid the mistake we did of buying an LCD as a second TV and then needing to replace it within a few years with an OLED due to hating it so much…).

I understand OLEDs are usually recommended for sports over LCD, and I’m not sure whether you’d go too wrong with any OLED. I’m not a sports watcher at all so can’t comment on that specifically, but must say I’m really happy with the JZ980 we bought recently, as we are with the GZ1000 we bought a couple of years ago.

GZ1000 owner here. Very happy with it, and it will be my Man Cave TV for a few years to come. I truly believe that Panasonic have one of the top OLED range of TV's. Their 2000 range is superb. Unfortunately their LCD range, while good, is not the class leader that it once was.

I don't own a JZ1000, but it has probably had a few tweaks since the GZ series, so based on this assumption, I would definitely recommend it to you. The LZ series will be here soon (if not already here), so there may be a price cut at Queen's Birthday sales, it may be worth waiting until then. Your call on that.

It's good to hear some positive feedback from users of the Panasonic OLEDs. A $300 cashback puts the JZ1000 about $500 cheaper than the Sony A80j I was looking at. Hopefully Queens Birthday weekend means a few more dollars saved.

Another Panasonic GZ1000 owner here, watch sports mainly with some gaming thrown in, absolutely love it. As MM said I'd rate the Panasonic PQ out of the box above LG C1. The JZ has the benefit of the very latest 4k/120 gaming enhancements too. Buy one you won't regret it

C1's were over $6000 for the 65" at launch. They will come down over the next few months

Just checked the UK website and the 48" LZ1500 does not even get the step down master panel from the LZ1000 series!
Will be interesting to see if the LZ800 comes here and the Sony a75k

1. So password correct and no error messages reported? On tv I mean…

2. When my tv plays up like this I unplug the power cable and restart it - don’t just restart from the menu. That cures most ills.

common sense is not very common

I just read somewhere that if I want to use the wifi network connection I have to unplug the ethernet connection Is that correct?
