We are building a new home and want to have all the automation gadgets like lighting, security, climate, a/v, gate control.
The house is probably a month away from being wired and we have been quoted $60,000 for lutron components... quite a bit more than hoped for...

I have been playing around with linuxmce which is great but obviously we will still need transformers and controllers etc, does anyone know a middle of the range product that will work with linuxmce (or similar)
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated! Smile

LOL.  I had grand ideas about automating my house too but by the time i got to the wiring stage all i could afford was some cat-5 cable and speaker wire to run through the walls :)

Hey peroski.
Where abouts are you in New Zealand?

Have you had a look at the Colorado vNet range?
If you want to send me a copy of your house electrical plan I could do a quote for you. Money mouth
