JB Hi-Fi Australia have a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale on Kids 4K Ultra HD movies. I put two titles into my cart, but when I went to check out I got the dreaded "one or more of your selections cannot be shipped to your address" and it applied to both of them.

Maybe they are trying to get us to buy from their NZ branch, who knows? but it seems that another outlet has closed to NZ collectors, unless you are lucky enough to have friends or relatives in Australia who can help you out.

J did have a quick browse of the EzyDVD website, and, although they don't have regular sales like JB has, their prices are competitive.

As things are a little quiet on the release front in NZ, I thought I might add some release info for the occasional Disney overseas release, and where you can purchase from if you don't mind paying for international shipping and lop sided exchange rates 😁

The first title is a rather interesting one as it was intended for viewing only on STAR on Disney Plus, and it seems a strange choice from Disney, who have been cutting back on the availability of their physical media releases. PREY is a prequel to the Predator series of films that began with the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger offering of 1987.

The HAUNTED MANSION 4K Ultra HD release from Disney, will be harder for importers to get their hands on. The Standard Ultimate Collector's Edition will only be available to Disney Movie Club (DMC) members in The US. Best Buy have a SteelBook Edition and Walmart have a Special Ultimate Collector's Edition which includes a Limited Edition Enamel Pin. No international online retailers have a 4K Ultra HD Edition pre-order available at the moment, but Amazon UK have Blu-ray and DVD options [October 30th]. Amazon US also have Blu-ray and DVD only. Friends or family in the US would be a great help to get this one.

Welcome to the Weekly NEW ZEALAND 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Release Schedule for Thursday October 05th

As you can see, I've given the schedule a facelift this week. I like to freshen things up now and again. Okay, no new releases this week. but there has been a late flurry of titles to sort out. JB and MA continue to have different dates for a couple of titles; I'm going to go with JB's dates for the schedule, I believe that they are most likely to be correct. We now have a release date for Barbie which is November 8th, I don't have the artwork yet, but it seems that Warner Bros. are giving it an HDR10/Dolby Atmos pairing, no Dolby Vision. JB had a great price of $19.98 on Scream 3 pre-order last week, but they have now increased it to $29.98, bringing them in line with MA's pricing.
