For anyone who can actually get anything shipped to NZ from JBAU; They have a 20% off sale on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD until October 8th.

Further to the above post, I browsed JBAU website, but there is nothing to say that they have stopped shipping to NZ, in fact we are on the list of countries that they ship to. I did a dummy run on The Batman, but I still got the message "Sorry, one or more of your items are unavailable for delivery. Please remove it above or try a different delivery method." I used to get that message occasionally when ordering, but I still had success with some titles. Now, I get the message on everything I order.

I have contacted their support team, asking how I can put my order through successfully. They have acknowledged my request and I am waiting for a reply.

EDIT: Well I haven't heard back from JBAU yet, but a member on another forum posted this reply to my problem.

"That means they're out of stock at their online fulfillment centre for that item. Gotta be careful of that when you aren't in Australia because that happens when things have been out a while. It's a pity they don't have an indicator on the website, you don't know until you trying checking out and they'll only ship overseas from that centre."

If this is correct, then we may have success if we order newer titles, or just take pot luck with the older films. At least they haven't cut us off completely, but its frustrating trying to find something that will ship to here. 😒

I'll just throw 15-20 titles into my basket and maybe I'll get three or four that will be delivered. 😁

I've just done another dummy run with Dr Strangelove, which is a new release.....and the order was accepted for delivery in 2 to 6 weeks....Eureka! Then I cancelled the order 😀

There are often late changes to the artwork on the 4K Ultra HD cases. I have just been caught out with an unexpected change to the Gran Turismo artwork, which I will fix shortly, and I believe to be an improvement. JBNZ also seem to get caught out occasionally, and they still haven't updated some already released titles including The Flash standard release. You can rely on this thread to "get it right" before release date. Just check the weekly release schedule and click on the link at the side of the title you want to check. If there is no link, then the final artwork and/or specs are not yet available.

I also know what the Barbie artwork and specs are, but I'll wait until its official before I post.

There are two titles of note on the JBAU website which have not yet been announced for NZ:-

THE EQUALIZER 3 - 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray, Standard and SteelBook Editions - Release Date • TBA - Limit of one item per customer. Which COULD mean that NZ will not get any.

MEG 2: The Trench - 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray, Standard and SteelBook Editions - Release Date • November 01st - No limit on either option.

FYI. Gran Turismo is getting two SteelBooks,  an Orange Edition which is the one that we are getting, and a Blue Edition being released in the UK and parts of Europe.

$49.98 for a new release seems quite excessive! I can understand higher prices for boutique releases and maybe restorations, but not for something like Meg 2.

Absolutely agree. Sales of 4K discs in this country must be pretty low? and i would love to see the figures. I have been watching the prices creep up to the $50 or higher mark over the last year or 2. Yup thats a great way to increase sales...not. I used to buy lots of them locally and regularly, especially during sales but these days thats dwindled quite a bit. I tend to go to my go to JB Hifi aus sales and get friends to send them to over me.

Sony 77" A80J OLED, Integra 60.7, Panasonic UB820, Toshiba HD-XE1, Apple TV 4K, JBL L100T,JBL 18Ti, JBL L20T, Velodyne HGS15

I have got a lot more selective on what I buy. I want to support the local market, but $49.98 for Meg 2 is a bit excessive (Not one that I'd buy anyway); The SteelBook at $56.98 is a little cheaper than most, which are usually NZ$59.98. JBAU have both options for Meg 2 at AU$39.98 each.

I will buy Mission Impossible 7 (NZ$39.98), The Equalizer 3 (hopefully it will get a NZ release or I may import it from Oz) and Gran Turismo (NZ$39.98).

Well, this one came out of the blue. Did NZ not get a 4K Ultra HD release when it was originally released? Its not listed on the JBAU website. Strange 😲
