Disney/Marvel's THE MARVELS is getting a SteelBook release which is exclusive to Walmart in the US. Unfortunately Walmart don't ship outside of North America, so our best option is to get it from Europe. Amazon UK have it up for Pre-order with a February 19th release date. The Standard Edition will be available nationwide in both the US and UK. US release date is February 13th.

Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole, her powers are entangled with super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol's estranged niece, astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and work together to save the universe.

With JBNZ prices increasing on their new 4K Ultra HD releases (The Exorcist: Believer and Five Nights at Freddy's $52.98 each), importing is becoming a cheaper option. Amazon AU and Amazon US having free shipping options make buying from them much more attractive than it used to be. JBAU and EzyDVD also have cheaper options on new titles, and shipping is reasonably fast. The two previously mentioned new titles are AU$39.98 at JBAU and AU$38.97 at EzyDVD. Buying several titles together will make shipping cheaper. EzyDVD remove Australian GST at checkout and JBAU will refund it if you email them and ask.

I try to support local businesses when buying anything related to my Home Cinema setup, but our retailers don't help themselves by adding ridiculous mark-ups.

I'd just like to give EzyDVD a 👍 for their handling of my Christmas orders. I got them to chase up NZ Post because my orders had not arrived. Apparently, I had not entered my full address when I placed the order and NZ Post only had my name and country on the label 😁. I received an email yesterday from EzyDVD advising me of my mistake and urging me to thoroughly check that my delivery address is correct on any future orders from them. Today I received three boxes of 4K Ultra HD movies, extremely well packaged and all in A1 condition.

Plus 1 for EzyDVD from me as well.

My Xmas orders arrived yesterday minus one that wasn’t on the picking list but they followed up with an email saying that it was coming separately due to stock issues.

Definitely 1 site that I check very week to see what specials are going.

Welcome to the Weekly NEW ZEALAND 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Release Schedule for Thursday January 18th

Two new releases this week to get the year under way. Things are starting to move a little at JBNZ, but I can't say that I'm happy with the pricing for new titles. If the prices stay as high as they are for the two new titles announced this week, then I'm afraid that physical media will not be around for much longer here. Mighty Ape are already shrinking their available titles and they are not stocking many of the new releases that JBNZ have had of late. Anyway not a lot to announce, but at least we have a couple of new additions.

Click on the post# links for the individual release information (artwork, specs, etc.) where available. Just click on the link and it should take you to the correct post. Then click on the back arrow to return to the schedule.

Individual film artwork and specs will be posted as soon as ALL info is available

Release dates are subject to change.

New Releases will be displayed for one week after release date.

Paramount Pictures US are releasing on 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray... Beverly Hills Cop: 3-Movie Collection 1984 - 1994. Celebrating 40 years of Beverly Hills Cop. Starring Eddie Murphy in his most iconic role. Release Date: February 20th.

The Collection is available to Pre-order from Amazon US [US$38.22) No free shipping option as yet.

Beverly Hills Cop

The heat is on in this fast paced action-comedy starring Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley, a street smart Detroit cop tracing down his best friend's killer in Beverly Hills. Axel quickly learns that his wild style doesn't fit in with the Beverly Hills Police Department, which assigns two officers (Judge Reinhold & John Ashton) to make sure things don't get out of hand. Dragging the stuffy detectives along for the ride, Axel smashes through a huge culture clash in his hilarious, high-speed pursuit of justice.

Featuring cameos by Paul Reiser, Bronson Pinchot and Damon Wayans, Beverly Hills Cop is an exhilarating sidesplitting adventure!

Beverly Hills Cop II

The heat's back on! Eddie Murphy is cool as ever in this sizzling, smash-hit sequel to Beverly Hills Cop. Axel Foley (Murphy) is back - back where he doesn't belong! He's going "deep, deep, deep undercover" into the chic wilds of Southern California, unleashing his arsenal of blazing gunfire and rapid-fire gags against a gang of international munitions smugglers. Back, too, are Judge Reinhold and John Ashton as Murphy's crime-busting sidekicks. And Top Gun's director Tony Scott keeps the pace fast, furious and funny.

Beverly Hills Cop III

Axel Foley journeys back to Beverly Hills for a real roller coaster thrill ride at the Wonderworld amusement park! Joined by old pals Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Serge (Bronson Pinchot), Axel becomes the hottest new attraction as he chases down the bad guys on the rides, through the shows and in the underground maze beneath the park. Beverly Hills Cop III is "a wild, funny action comedy" that will have you hooked for the whole ride!

I'm going to start posting new release film info as soon as it is confirmed for Australia and when I have all the info and artwork. If they haven't been announced for NZ at the time of posting, I will add the link to the weekly schedule when/if it is announced for NZ. That will at least let collector's who don't mind importing, know that the new titles are available to them.

As always, dates are subject to change.
