Can anyone shed some light on how to integrate wireless streaming of music and video into a home cinema. Home cinema, in lounge 40" Samsung at the moment, but I am looking to stream music to 7 other rooms so we can all listen to our seperate music indivudaully without having others suffering to listen.

Not to be picky, but you changed from streaming Video + Audio, to streaming audio only - was this intentional, or a mistake ? Because it makes a significant difference in the implementation.
Did you want to steam from a central server, or did you want what ever is being watched on the lounge TV to be streamed elsewhere ?
Big budget, or shoestring ? Are there PC's in each room ? TV in each room ?
If you have a centalised PC serving music and videos, a wireless router if you already have one, could be used. Alternatively, an additional wireless Access Point at the server end somewhere.
Remote PC's all have a wireless dongle/PCI card. To stream video reliably, you need at least an 802.11n spec. And do bear in mind that wireless capacity is SHARED - like ADSL. More people on-line watching, the less available bandwidth per user is available. With music-only, this isn't so much an issue.
Alternatively, instead of wireless, you could go via PowerLAN, where you house mains wiring carries ethernet signalling as well. This requires an adapter at each location, and not quite as portable as wireless.

Just a few ideas to get you thinking, but you will need to supply a bit more detail on what you want to achieve, as well as what PC gear, theatre gear etc you have.

My thoughts are no longer my own and is probably representative of our media-controlled government
