I need to get my Kef sub looked at. Any recommendations on who to see in the Auckland area?

Thanks

No sorry, but ask over at http://audioenz.co.nz/forums/ if you don't get any takers here.

What's wrong with your subwoofer though?

I had my Velodyne sub repaired at Sound Group Holdings in Albany about a year ago.  They did a good job and I have no complaints.  I'd be happy to recommend them.

It's making a buzzing noise when it kicks in.

That sounds a lot like the problem I had with mine. It was cused by a couple of faulty capacitors if memory serves correctly

Makes a "buzzing sound"? I presume that it is an active sub? if so, you may be experiencing a "earth loop hum". ensure that your subwoofer is plugged in to the same power point as the rest of your system. If you want to be absolutely sure that this is not the problem, then you can run an "audio isolator" to isolate the audio earth from the mains earth. Just an option to think about.
