I tried the wireless connector for the xbox but it was rubbish. I believe they're releasing a wireless N one but I'd never trust a wireless connection for something so crucial as delivering my media content ;)

Anyway, it's heaps of fun climbing around in ceilings and under floors wiring up cat5/6 :)

I have the wireless N adaptor and my HTPC reports the signal strength as being perfect.  Streaming wirelessly to the Xbox has proved no issue so far, it's just getting the wireless HTPC to AP link working that is causing the issue.  Will document and post here as well as some other forums.

Just thought I'd jump in here - I'm also looking to get a 360 for the lounge - can it stream live TV FROM a Win7 MCE machine, or do i need some additional software?

Yep works perfect. All you need is a DVB-T TV tuner on your Win 7 premium or ultimate machine. No extra software on the windows machine or xbox 360 needed.

Do whatever you want to do man.
