Dunnersfella:
richms: They are probably the cables that come with players that they remove so that they can sell you an overpriced monster cable when buying stuff...

What players come with cables?
My PS3 certainly didn't... Do any other Sony players come with them?
Are other stores removing their HDMI cables too? If so, what ones?

Dunnersfella is/was being sarcastic. HDMI cables do nt usually come with device, unlike VGA or those red-white-yellow ones.

It depends on the devices you are buying.  They do come with the DSE (Zinwell) Freeview Receiver, the ET receiver and the AC Ryan Playon!HD mini Multimedia Player.

I was being sarcastic... ;-)
Digital cables are very much the exception, not the norm.
When did you last buy an amp with a Toslink / Optical in the box?
To suggest that a store would remove cables and then flick them separately to make more money - without proof (whether it's Harveys / JB's or Bob Brown Hifi) is getting close to stir mongering...

Of course - richms could have had his tongue firmly in his cheek too ;-)

Sorry, I missed the sarcasm. :(

You're right, although I've never had an amp come with any cables other than a power cable in the box.
