Want something that can do my watchlater list etc. I think the WD TV Live can do that, but I dont have one where I can get to it to have a play with.

I would like ustream, justin.tv and others on it, but being able to give it a URL on youtube to play would do 50% of what I want, and playing stuff that I currently play on my now dead old xbox would give another 40% so that is good enough if its cheap enough.

I saw the playonHD mini now has youtube. I have seen this on special at PBtech for $169. http://pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=DVAACR7305&name=AC-Ryan-Playon!HD-Mini-Full-HD-Network-Media-Pla...

Its a full featured media player. Full HD 1080p playback is flawless. From the limited trial I had with it... And has a fully featured Youtube player.

I just bought an Apple TV with the intention of putting XBMC on it.

Only got it today but from the little I have played with it it may be what you want.

Getting XBMC installed and working was a little more tricky then I first thought it would be but I got it in the end.

If you don't mind spending some time tweaking and sshing go for the apple tv otherwise the above might be a better option

I would rather not buy hardware that I have to fight with it to get it to work how I want it to.

the playon looks ok, but its HD which I dont really need since there is no way in hell that my connection can do HD without buffering for about a hour per 5 mins etc. something cheaper would be better. Even something like one of those horrid android tablets would probably be up for it if it had some form of video out on it.
