Hi,

I am in the process of designing a multi-room home audio solution and need some suggestions for a low cost, good quality, stereo amplifier similar to the Audiosource AMP-100 (which I have been recommended but can't find anywhere in NZ).

It doesn't need to be super-grunty as I am only intending to use it to drive some outdoor speakers which won't need to go very loud. Auto-sensing on/off would be a useful feature, but not a deal breaker if not there. It just needs to be cheap and decent quality/sound.

I can get the Audiosource AMP-100 from Amazon for about $180 delivered but I was hoping to pay a little less.

Any ideas or thoughts on what might be a suitable amplifier would be warmly welcomed!

Cheers,
Ben

At $180 the Audiosource AMP-100 seems like a good deal.
If you can guarantee it'll work, get it.

Yeah I am running out of other options. It is just I have read a lot about these very cheap Class T amps which sound like they do a great job - for a very low cost - but trying to find anywhere in NZ which stocks them is next to impossible.

Was hoping someone knew of where I could source one.

Well after being unable to find anything available locally I tried last night to purchase the AudioSource AMP100 from Amazon. Was happy to find the price had dropped, but not so happy to find they would no longer ship to NZ!

Back to square one.

Another option seems to be the Sonic Impact T-Amp - does anyone know where I could source one of these from? Or are they no longer made?

Try Amazon again, I just went through the purchase process up to hitting the pay button, it quoted NZ shipping rates.

Awesome - thanks mate! The price had jumped back up to $US90 but as you said, they will ship to NZ. Must have been a different supplier that listed it at the lower price but didn't ship internationally?

Anyway, have placed my order, total cost $NZ175. More than happy with that price given the lack of other options!

No Problem. I note the specs say 120V 60Hz, is this going to be a problem for you?
