Just wondering if people to give me some ideas of where to look for a well price entertainment unit.

Something like this. But maybe a little cheaper

Where in NZ are you? The Critereon factory shop in Auckland is pretty good value.

Bought my cabinet from Target Furniture in Wairau Rd (Auckland). Approx similar to your supplied link but smaller, two drawers only, but perfectly fits my 40 inch tv, plus TiVo, MacBook Pro, external hdds and Xbox :).
Was very very good value, around $200. Important factor for me was that is was NOT flatpack, it was factory assembled. Unit is very sturdy, I could easily stand on it with no concerns about sturdiness.

Cheers,
Joseph

Kopkiwi: Sounds like you would be keen to make me one lol

Haha i could do. The board i used there is 30mm Particle board in a colour called Charred oak. It cost me $130 for a 2440 x 1220 sheet. Im gutted we didn't have a cover sheet of that colour laying around cos then the cabinet would have been free!
