Hi There

i recently purchased the above TV and upon doing some reviews i noticed that there is the ability to plug in a USB HDD to record live TV and schedule for TV recording also

however from playing around i am only able to do live recording on the channel i am currently watching.

Do you know of a way to scheduled recodings as you would through say a VCR ( back in the day ) ?, is this a feature that is available ?

Thanks

NO.
Freeview certified TVs do not have any capability of recording Freeview to external devices and as you have found with the USB, only the channel you are watching as only one tuner.
To record Freeview you need a Recorder with built in digital tuner, or STB to a VCR or DVD Recorder (but only SD) or a PC with Tuner card. Toschedule recordings using the EPG you need Freeview certified equipment or else manual scheduling is required.
Freeview certainly makes life difficult for recording.
After Dec 2013 a lot of people are going to find out their oanalogue DVD or VCR recorders need a STB to record anything in SD or they will need neww equipment to record Freeview HD.
Of course there is always the MySkyHDi option.

Nope. It's a TV, not a fully featured PVR.
