How is the Denon avr-1912 compare against the yamaha rxv-671? Its competitor is pioneer 1021 and Onkyo 609, right?

As of speakers, how is energy as a brand compare against boston acoustics and jamo?

I have been doing research on prices:

Onkyo NR609 - $991 at JB hifi
Yamaha RX-v671 $1388 at harvey norman
Denon AVR-1912 $1299 at my local hifi/ music store
Pioneer VSX 1021 $1799 at Paul Money

Should I get the Onkyo? the features are quite similar and the Onkyo is the only one below $1000.

Will any of these audio receivers go well with the boston acoustics A2310 HTS. It is on discount at JBhifi for $682

Have a listen to them... your ears will be the decider. Then, once you've had the chance to do that, grab a remote control and see how easy it will be for you, everyone in the house to use on a daily basis.
Remember, receivers can be judged by power, sound... but functionality plays a very big part in it all.
If the amp doesn't offer HDMI pass through, it may drive you nuts. What about dark switching? That's almost essential in my books if you're planning to throw your receiver in a cupboard somewhere.
Can you tie in an iPhone / Android app?

The Onkyo will only be at JB HiFi, the other 3 can all be found together at your local H.Normal. Paul Money stock Denon, Pioneer and Yamaha - but their site doesn't seem to be up to date?
JB's have a few Pioneer's, but they're under the VSX1021 spec-wise.

Thx for the help.

Before I go crazy on all the different receivers, I would like to ask something more basic:

If I am paying $1500 for the receiver, how much should I spend on the speakers? As someone tell me before on this thread, the audio receiver will be the limiting factor, so for something in the $1500 range, how fancy should my speaker be to make the best use out of the receiver?
