Does anyone have any last minute suggestions as to which one I should get?
I'm leaning towards the Samsung personally.
Cheers

Kopkiwi: I got the 64" D550. Had nothing but issues. The noise that sucker makes is just amazing. The buzzing is incredibly loud. Harveys took it back and swapped it for another one, had the same issue but LOUDER.
In the end they upgraded me to the top of the line Panasonic for free. So worked out better.
But I wont be touching Samsung again anytime soon.

Was the buzzing the only issue? If that happens with me I'll just try do the same I guess. I got mine from DSE, arriving next week so will keep y'all posted
billgates: Got mine delivered yesterday. It's fantastic. No buzzing nor anything weird. HD content converted from 2D to 3D looks great. Comes with 1 free 3D glass in the box (RRP $149 at DSE) + I ordered further 5 from ebay for $255 incl 3 business day fed-ex delivery for movie nights.
pro tip - When you unbox the TV, you will notice that there is no way in hell that the stand will fit the TV. Yes you are right. I was scratching my head and was annoyed thinking that it's missing a part because the user guide for the TV says nothing about assembling the TV and stand together. Then I flipped the top box upside down and behind one of the *stuck* thermoplastic was hiding the bit that connects the stand and the TV together including the screws. The instruction manual was also in the same packaging.
Very happy with my purchase. Going to 'break in' my plasma for first 200 hours before I start calibrating it with the AVS HD 709 disc and play around with colour/contrast/brightness settings.
Asmodeus:
I came in here to post this exact same thing lol. Don't have much else to add!
I had a lok at AVS HD 709 briefly and it seems you need colour filters to do a lot of it? Then again I only looked briefly...
Can you send the link to that glasses deal on ebay please?
