Hello all!

A friend and I have decided to get the ball rolling with a Wifi Lights, and we are hoping to get some advice.

Click here to see the website we have just created. We would love to hear from everyone that has an idea of how we can pinpoint a specific group of people with our marketing and website.

We want to target the Innovators and the Early Adapters. You know, the guys that will wait out the front of a shop for hours to get the new iPhone etc.

So our company is iLights and we sell and install LED Lights that are controlled through you smart phone.

Check it out and let us know what you think so far. WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?

We look forward to hearing from you,

Ryan and Stevie

Hi and welcome to Geekzone! I don't think you've included the link though.

Cheers!

It's almost definately the site. We have made it through moonfruit.com, but will pass it over to Wordpress shortly. Joomla, and I didn't get along so well unfortunately. What are your thoughts on the site, apart from the speed? And the product?

Yeah the group LimitlessLED. We are kind of working with them, but as a re-seller here in Auckland to spread the word a bit more. We are also doing installations and programming for cafes, bars, hotels etc. Did you know that they were co-invented in NZ?

My first suggestion would be to revamp your website so it looks like something from 2013 not 1998

Good call. Perhaps fork out, rather than doing it myself. Could anyone suggest a worthy Website developer?

Provide more info, more info, more info, more info
[ said to the same metre as "developers, developers" by rampaging monkey Man Bullmer)

Early adopters will scour the web looking for information on the products they are interested in, simply whacking up a picture of a 240v E27 LED bulb is not going to cut it, they want to know whether you have alternatives for 12v MR16s, what the colour spectum is like, what transformers they will work with, whether dimmers will work on them etc.

The biggest market for LEDs is the existing installs ( particularly the 12V downlight market)  it is still hit and miss about whether LED replacements are actually an economic replacement yet, ( on a $/lumen basis) so the more info that you have to persuade people the better,

I am locking this discussion because it's an obvious duplicate. If you want to continue, use the previously mentioned thread.

To the OP: DO NOT POST DUPLICATES. It's against the FUG and almost spammy.
