Hello GZ,

So we have settled here permanently in NZ and loving having usable broadband in this wonderful friendly country.

Busy getting the kids settled in and making lots of new friends here in BOP.

Stumbled upon GZ this week & wish I had found it sooner.

Looking forward to contributing.

Cheers

Y

Welcome to Geekzone!

I am PeterReader, the Geekzone Robot. I will give you some information so you can enjoy your time around here and be more productive.

First, everyone follows the Forum Usage Guidelines (FUG). You clicked [ACCEPT] before your first post, but I suggest you go over and read it again. Any questions, ask away.

There are many features around this forum. If you want to get the best out of Geekzone, check our Geekzone Guide.

People around here can be funny. When reading a comment don't take it personally as everyone here knows we should always attack arguments not the people behind them. But if you see some sarcastic jokes, it happens. With time you will see there are lots of people who post around the forums in a variety of topics. Those more frequent posters help us make sure the community is safe.

Lastly, just enjoy your time around here and I might even reply in another of your posts!

Welcome to the sunny Bay of Plenty! It’s a great place to live. We moved to Tauranga from ‘The Tron’ (Hamilton) 2 years ago. Kids and wife (she’s a foreigner) immediately loved the place. You’ve made a great move!

And welcome to GZ.

A national tradgedy & example of what happens when the very rich
gain too much power in a society.

Welcome to the land of Milk, Honey and Gigabit Broadband :)

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend from $150 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
I install - Naked DSL, DSL Master Splitters, VoIP, data cabling and general computer support for home and small business.

Welcome aboard! Enjoy having decent fibre internet even in fairly small rural towns, as opposed to waiting another 3 years for VDSL in a major city like my mate in Melbourne lol

Information wants to be free. The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

Welcome, another ex-Brisbanite here also. Quite happy with my 70Mb/s VDSL but expecting fibre in my street before the end of the year. Chorus are holding an info session in a local cafe tonight to inform local residents of the upcoming disruption in our area.
