Hello everyone,
After at least a year of really enjoying reading these forums I thought it was time to see if I had something to contribute. I am a specialist doctor working in Dunedin. I have a great interest in IT in healthcare and am working towards a post-graduate diploma in IT with all my spare time. (yes that spare time bit was a joke). My main hobbies are not surprisingly computing, but also home theatre, tramping, working on my hobby farm and enjoying my family. I have three school age girls who are great.
Oh, and if you were wondering Pomphobetus is a genus of tarantula. I have one sitting on my desk which helps keep the girls off this computer.

Welcome to Geekzone. And the idea of having a spider on your desk... Who would've thought of that?

Ha ha - I like it!  I'll be heading to Dunedin for a weekend at end of September.  I'll be coming straight from a tropical country, where I've been based the last 5 months.  Hopefully by then it'll be a lot warmer down there than it is at moment!!
