Introduction

Okay, there's no free beer here.. but I got your attention. Now if I gave you beer I'd just lose that attention.

Anyway, I joined a little bit ago but didn't introduce myself, so here goes..

about me

Hi! I'm Daniel, a new GeekZone member  ... I'm from New Zealand (obviously), just turned 17 and basically live on my computer.

I have been practicing website development since I was 12, only seriously since more like 14 and professionally since 15-ish. I do client-side and server-side stuff (in the area of html, css, javascript etc on client and php and mysql on server side). I also like to try (and fail) at design.

Uhh.. what else is there to say. I like to keep up with the latest on the internet (as far as news & technologies) and I also like to play with other things such as phones (I am only new to learning about phone software, etc).

Some specs why not...

My PC

AMD Athlon II x2 250 3.0ghz
Asus motherboard,
1GB DDR3 RAM
Sapphire Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 graphics
500GB HDD
17" widescreen MAG LCD monitor

My phone

I have an old HTC Apache phone running Windows Mobile 5 (I'm too scared to upgrade this to a custom WM6.1 ROM custom built for the Apache which taunts me)

My website
Well, this thing's really out-dated but it's all I have to show as far as personal websites go, so.. http://www.purplekiwi.net . I also have a hosting startup coming soon which is currently under construction and I'll reveal in startups when I have something good to show.

So... hi y'all.

Cheers,
Daniel
