I am thinking of replacing a MSI Wind U100, running XP with the HP Envy X2.
All I/we want it for is for web browsing, emails and running Moneydance (Money program, like Quicken).
I have a Nexus 7 which has a Tegra 3 quad core processor and via wireless, I think it is quite quick.
The X2 would be used wirelessly and I see that it has a 1.8ghz Dual Core Intel Atom.

Not that any of the above means much.

I like the idea of a laptop/tablet.

Am I correct in assuming the X2 will do the job.

Also, is the X2 a 'recent' machine. I can see announcements for it in Q4 last year. Perhaps, it has taken that long to arrive in the NZ marketplace.

You could check this existing discussion about the Envy x2.

And yes, it's a current version, there's no reason to wait for something else if you need a laptop now.
