Looking for pc for uni and for hopefully some dota2 and hearthstone.

I think i've narrowed it down to these two.

Acer Aspire V5-572

or the HP Pavilion 15-e013TX

I'm leaning towards the acer due to the touchscreen. Any experience with either?

Nope. I had an experience with acer related to quality of product and then after that, quality of servicing. I would not buy again, but that experience was over five years ago so things may have changed. If you are getting a lot of features for your money, chances are you are losing out on something else ; ).

Anecdotally, I have noticed a lot of forum users here going for the HP's (Usually the Envy model) and not much blow back from that.

Hi be carefull with HP they use a heavily customised version of windows you may not have great compatabilty with peripheral devices. I had an HP laptop a few years a go and it was a nightmare when it came to updates and trying to use things like a Vodem.
