I have an HP DV3 laptop from 2009 (yes, I know it's old) which I am looking for spare parts for. HP Partsurfer doesn't seem to have the part I need.

I'm looking for some spare screws as while I had the laptop open to service it, a couple of screws disappeared. I have searched but can't seem to find them online. The screw I'm looking for is a "Phillips PM2.0×8.0 screw" but they seem to be quite rare now.

Anyone got any suggestions or a place I can try? I only need about 3 or 4 of them.

Thanks in advance smile

Have you had a look here?  http://store.emprgroup.co.nz/

You might need to buy a dead one from TradeMe or eBay.  Possibly visit a couple of computer recucling places and ask if you can have a look at their dead laptops and pinch a screw.

I have a DV6 in bits in the garage somewhere do you think it will have the same screws ?

I'll see if I can find it, it's in a box somewhere ;)

[e] Forget that, I've just found a manual online with a 'screw listing' (would you believe) and the DV6 doesn't use the PM2x8.0
