Is it possible to combine 2 laptop hdd's into one big one?

In a laptop of mine, it has 2 100gb hdd's and rather than have 2 100gb partitions, it would be best to have one big one. Is this possible and if so how?

By the way, the hdds are IDE hdds, one is a seagate and i'm not entirely sure on the other one, maybe a toshiba? or HP/Compaq.

Software RAID 0, stripe set.

Windows... not possible with boot OS on the stripe but you can partition off an area for Windows that is not part of the stripe. Windows will not be able to read the strip either. 8(

Linux, sure, with some black OSS magic. See here for an non-exhaustive example of what is possible (and the risks)
