Check the glossary for definition of pixel too.

Back in the day of not as high resolution TFTs and such we even had to go to magnifying glass level to see if it was all 3 colourbands out, making a 'pixel' or a single band being a 'sub-pixel'

Do you find yourself frequently looking at that particular spot now? I know I would and it'd drive me nuts. As you say, you've spent a few grand on this machine - it should be perfect.

The pixel fails to display red. So is 1/3 dead..
I find my eyes drawn to it immediately. Its night and day. Only a 1080P screen so its pretty noticeable.

Great reply from Pb Tech!

Hi Tim

Please bring back your faulty laptop to our North Shore branch. After we confirmed the issue we can replace the unit for you.

And please back up all your data before you sending the unit to us. Thanks.

Best Regards,

I advised I am up north till tuesday next week so I will update once I have it RMA'd and my data stored.
Lucky I kept a 1TB 7500RPM drive from my last PC and got a caddy!

Cheers

Thanks for the update Coil. Best case scenario. Good work PBTech indeed. I know they have a bad rap unfortunately, but maybe it's just a vocal few.
