johnr: Sorry not sure why I would need to know where you live? I don't deliver pizza or mow lawns

This is a public forum and not restricted to Telecom NZ staff

Or provide reliable mobile phone coverage.

Silly me, I thought Vodafone might like to know where their network doesn't work.

I can list many places each carrier does not work, All carriers provide coverage maps online

I can take you places where Telecom only works, Then I can take you places only Vodafone works and I am very sure there are places only 2Degrees works!

Telecom and 2Degrees only provided coverage in Waitakere township till the middle of last year then Vodafone colocated with Telecom

Vodafone is only coverage provider in Waima out the Waitakere rangers,

Over the coming months we have a number of new RBI sites coming online and we also have 3 community built cells, North and South Catlins in the South Island and Waihau Bay in the East Cape. First time these areas will ever have mobile coverage

Why should they spend 100k building a tower just for you? Their coverage isn't that bad. 3G is crap though, makes me wonder why 1800/2100Mhz is used in NZ's hilly areas.

In some cases GSM1800 / 3G 2100Mhz sites are better in hiily areas as the when the site is on top of a hill it does not travel as far and cause issues on other sites

If you can get us a cell built for 100k please contact me ASAP

I understand that.  The purpose of this post was to share my experience, which so far has been that the XT network works better for me.

When I have a problem with XT, I'll be sure to share it.

Happy I'm not on XT, their coverage is really bad here, and I'm in this area a lot. Vodafone 100% rock solid! - Just a shame their site hasn't got that fibre feed yet :(

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend from $150 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
