So according to Engadget, HTC have promised JB to the HOX, yet we still dont have the very first OTA update.

So very very pissed at Telecom, I will never sign up to any service with them again.

Yeah I know, very annoyed myself. So, I took things into my hand and rooted the phone and installed a custom rom on it. Kinda sux that I had to resort to alternative methods to get updates on my phone, never again I'm ever gonna by an android phone from telecom.

I've just swapped my HOX from Telecom to 2Degrees - so so SO Sick of Telecom's crap.

I started harassing em Daily on facebook start of last month and they've stopped replying now LOL.

To those of you who have Unlocked, Rooted, and Rom'd - what Rom(s) are you using, from where? The last phone I rom'd was my SE X10i which was a real Bitch.

Telecom have long since barred me from posting on their wall(why does everyone get so sensitive when the Nazis are brought up?)

Anyway as far as ROMs go I did try to go with the Revolution ROM, but my phone was very unstable for some reason.

Make sure you have the Telecom RUU before you start!

Guee... To compare your desire to have a firmware upgrade on your phone to the death of 6 million people in Nazi Germany.  I am not surprised you got barred.  It's in my top 10 of the most stupid things I have heard anyone ever say.  It's just a Phone, build a bridge and get over it....

You could unlock it, root it, and then install a custom ROM

I'm not sure why you think I made that comparison?

If the details of what I said must be known, someone else remarked that Telecoms Helpdesk were like Nazis, the post was deleted, when the person asked why the post was deleted, Telecom responded that the Nazi remark might offend some one, I made a remark that the Nazis might find it offensive to be compared to Telecom(I was working late, was pissed of at Telecom and it seemed funny at the time).

No, Ive been lucky in that regard, I hope you're not implying that I've said something offensive/insensitive to those that have?

Maybe another thread should be created for flashing the HOX?

I had successfully flashed my phone, but found it very unstable, and managed to temp brick my phone, when trying to go back, but as long as you have the RUU .exe and you have unlocked via the HTCdev method you should be able to revert back to its original state in case of brickage.

RUU .exe link:

Yep... You're a complete Muppet.  Nothing about the Nazi's is ever funny and you shouldn't ever joke about it.  To compare the support you get from a company anything to the Nazi's and what they did is completely stupid.  It's not funny, not now, not ever.  Better yet do some research into what really happened during the Holocaust and just realise how un-funny it all is.  A lot of people half of which women and children died in a truly horrific way.  I suggest you pull your head in and realise how stupid you were.

It's weird that you found it unstable, I wonder if you missed something. I have had awesome performance from Android Revolution HD (1.29 base) on my HOX. The Telecom 1.26 that came with the phone was much worse.

I might upgrade my HOX next week to the latest ARHD rom (2.05 base), so if I have time I'll create a detailed howto.
