seightch: From what I can tell, the 3 dots in the other launchers can be removed by by the app developers. I know, a few HOX users have brought up the issue up with the GO crowd, so hopefully they will release an update to fix it.

As far as 'pretty' goes nothing beats the layered look of Sense! But it is so unstable, at least on 1.26. I might give HD a go but its pretty expensive for something I might use.

HD Widget's is great so far, anyway, if you don't like it you can get a refund for like 15min after getting the app or somesuch.

Just had a look its not as pricey as I though, shouldn't really complain about something cheaper than a servo pie.

LOL yea - also cheaper than Coffee

Thread is kinda sliding away from how crap Telecom are with their updates don't you think? Launchers, mods etc would be better discussed in the owner's thread down in android. 90 days Telecom, not good!

I heard something is coming the middle of this week... And I have no idea if that is a statement regarding updates for every phone or an actual software update for the HOX

I'm hoping they are going to release a statement telling us they're still testing, and they want to make really sure it doesn't fall over on their network.

I asked them via Twitter DM regarding my wanting of a general statement regarding Android updates, particularly the HOX and got "mid-week" as a response, as to what is gonna happen, who knows...

Point being, we got a time frame (for something) this time rather than "coming soon"

heh, after reading this thread I'm extra glad I got mine imported from Clove.co.uk

I got the notification for 1.29 within minutes of turning it on :-D

Yeah, kinda wish I had a parallel imported one too (previous two Androids were imports). However what coloured my judgement in this case was all the manufacturing and hardware defects in the early handsets that were rushed to market, possibly to be on shelves ahead of the SGS3. Hope your phone doesn't suffer any problems requiring a return to the UK for repair...

What I have to remember at the moment is my HOX was $200 cheaper than the comparable VFNZ or 2D ones when I bought it.

Depends on your definition of 'mid-week'. If you expected something by midday on Wednesday then I can understand why you have been disappointed. But if you take a more relaxed view that mid-week can occur anytime between 0001 on Sunday to 2359 on Saturday then there is still time. There is also the question of mid which week? Add to that, timezone differences, moon phases, and long business lunches then perhaps a more appropriate response to the Twitter DM that P1n3apqlExpr3ss sent should have been " August - (maybe)".
