Hi guys,
I want to set up my windows phone so that I receive my emails from my xtra account, with yahoo as the provider, but keep getting the message 'cannot find your settings' when I try to sign in..

Does anyone know any tricks?

Please be gentle with me, I'm not a techie! Thanks Laughing

Go to Settings | Email + Accounts, tap "Add an account", select Yahoo! and enter your full @xtra.co.nz email address and password. That's all you need.

Once added, edit the account to check email manually if you don't need/want it checking all the time.

try these...

imap.mail.yahoo.com SSL:993
yourusername@xtra.co.nz & PW as normal. (it needs the domain reference)

send.xtra.co.nz SSL:456. Require sign-in an same again

as from http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=102630

or as above :)

Its interesting that windows phone requires full details... Normally just the full email address should be enough

Interesting. I've created Yahoo! accounts using @xtra.co.nz email addreses in both my LG and Nokia Lumia Windows Phone by just entering user name and password - you have to enter the full email address as user name.
