Hello All!

Hope you guys will be able to help or at least advise something 'cause seriously - I'm out of ideas! :) Have transferred my phone # from 2 degrees to Telecom and since then have been unable to receive txts from 2 degrees users! First I thought that problem is in phone - HTC ONE X - which I aslo got from Telecom. But now I'm pretty sure that phone is fine (awesome phone by the way) 'cause I do get txts from everyone else...

Any ideas what can it be???

Would much appreciate your ideas and thoughts!

Thank you!

Call Telecom advise them and they will need to speak to 2Degrees and check the routing of SMS for your mobile number from the 2Degrees network to Telecom,

Quite simple to resolve

I did! I have spent quite some time on the phone with Telecom today and went to one of their offices. Lady at the service centre told me that HTC ONE X doesn't support Telecom network - ridicules given that I bought it from Telecom! Guys at the office turned phone off / on and said that it will fix everything. But it didn't... I called 2 degrees and they told me that it is not their problem (surprise!). Now I'm totally lost

Telecom launched the HTC One X in New Zealand. Whoever told you that is completely out of the loop.

Call the help desk again and ask to talk to someone about this.

There are some good staff from Telecom here on Geekzone, I would advise to track them down and they will be able to resolve the issue with 2Degrees

Ignore what the service person advised they clearly are in the wrong job!

I've talked to 2 people at Telecom help desk and both said that it is 2 degrees problem. 2 degrees told me that it is Telecom's problem. Gosh, if I ever tell my customer anything like this I will be fired the same date, but this people are working although they have no ideai how to help :(

You're a Telecom customer. You only need to deal with Telecom, regardless if the problem is on 2degrees or Telecom. Some people in their help desk need a bit more training.

I've asked someone to have a look at this topic.

You are a Telecom customer so they need to resolve the issue with 2Degrees,

Contact one of the Telecom staff here on Geekzone and I am sure they can help you with the issue

Send me an e-mail at "pl at telecom dot co dot nz" with your phone number, account number and any useful information.

When did you port over as sometimes it can take a while for the port tables to be fully updated between providers.

Also get you friend who is on 2Degrees to log a call with 2Degrees and say they can't Text you.

All done! Thank you very much or  your help! We called 2Degrees and asked for help as my partner is a 2Degrees user. They told us to talk to Telecom... We will try again tomorrow!

Not 100% sure what happened but I had a chat with SaltyNZ from 2Degrees and he retried all the messages and they went through this time.  Seems to be some glitch somewhere between 2Degrees and Telecom, but it looks like it's sorted now.

Cheers Simon for sorting it... I appreciate that :)
