At some stage last night. My inter started to turn into a major crawl. Normally it just whizzez! However, that seems a distant memory as web pages are taking an age to load. Here's my line stats, Im about 60 metres from a cabinet. I noticed a few crc and hec errors. Do they have something to do with whats happened? I changed the adsl filter also and doesnt seem to have had an effect.

This is on a TG585 v8 modem. Tried a v7 model and same result. Any ideas? Ive gone from awesome to crap in the space of minute and changed modems/filters and same result.

Damn it.. the stats info formatting has crapped itself by the looks of it.

Line rate and attenuation look normal/good.

CRC errors and HEC errors might be indicative of a physical line issue, basically lodge a fault with the help desk and go through the tiresome but necessary troubleshooting process/steps, if that doesn't resolve it they will book a Chorus tech to come out and check the line/exchange port etc.

Struggling to load any page as i write this. Called Telecom, they said there's a constant stream of disconnections in the last 2 days, where as before, hardly any. They will do 24 hours of line monitoring before consulting Chorus. Telecom will call me tomorrow to advise. I noted to just go and check as they've already got 2 days of data?

See what they say tomorrow. The CSR was unaware of any maintenance by Telecom.

kyhwana2: Sure you havn't blown your data cap and are being throttled?

no capping on this plan, plus im sure the broadband support team would have noticed that by now if it was throttling?

if it was throttled, then basically what Im getting is worse than a 56k modem. It's been years since I was on a throttled plan but my connection is totally useless. Throttling means you stay connected at a lower speed. What im getting is constant disconnections every minute.

Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/GB]: 125,39 / 2,67

Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12,0 / 12,5

Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 1,0 / 2,5

SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 17,0 / 15,0

Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / BDCM

Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
