Hi as the subject states is there any word on the jellybean update for the telecom branded galaxy s2 I know it is still fairly early days yet but I was after a rough estimate from an official source if there is such a thing.

New Zealand International version just had their update go live yesterday, so hopefully soon. However I'd love a reply as well

Don't hold your breath for a carrier upgrade. I'm not.. In their eyes it's an old fone..

Wow that is a step in the right direction, I am holding my breath I think the s2 will get it because are they still selling the s2? Although I don't see it on their website anymore but it is still available from the warehouse etc. One of the Telecom Ops confirmed they are working on 4.1 for the S2 as the reply in this post shows http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=112319 however I messaged said op asking kindly for an e.t.a it was read over a week ago but no response as yet.

Bump, does anyone from Telecom care to comment, would also be interested if / when the other two carrier tied s2's will be receiving Jellybean

Thanks that would be much appreciated

Are you trying to say the Vodafone branded S2 wont be getting the update?
I see there is a post in the Vodafone Forums awaiting a reply from Friday the 22nd asking for an update.

You can flash the International version to any NZ sold S2 using ODIN and then if you happen to have the i9100T (Telecom compatible one) you can flash the ICS modem ontop of the Jellybean flash.

If the carriers are going to abandon phones they sell then this would be the best route to go.
