Just tried to do this upgrade via Kies. Both attempts Kies said it was downloading the upgrade files , got to 100% then closed down. Never restarted. Currently doing it from the fone over WiFi . It will take over 30 minutes so here's hoping all goes well..

It took me personally 5 attempts, 2x OTA attempts, first download vanished, then couldn't re-establish to restart, second download went okay, but died on the Droid-spinner update cycle, third and fourth Kies on Windows didn't want to play nice, fith attempt it worked fine, really really annoying.

Jelly Bean is not too bad, although I've noticed a few issues with Wireless that I can't isolate to either phone or AP yet.

It did the Wifi download fine and the update went without any problems and all aps working. Some interesting new features. One thing I can't seem to sort. On ICS I could place the time / date position on the lock screen. Can't see anyway with Jellybean.. Will be interesting with the power saving mode on to see if my battery life improves.

Settings > Lock Screen > Lock Screen Options

You will see a check box for Clock, show clock on lock screen.

I similar experience Wednesday and Thursday with notifications about an update, but when I went to download it, it didn't exist. However, successfully updated via wi-fi last night.

Only thing I can think of is a Device Admin or a profile (Possibly even VPN profile) setup which is preventing access

Check/disable potential apps that could have admin access preventing the lock screen options here:
Settings > Location and Security > Device Administration > Select device administrators

You can clear security credentials here:
Settings > Security > Clear Credentials

I do NOT like the (non)implementation of predictive text on the S2. From a bit of searching, it looks like a third-party keyboard app is the only way to get it back to how it was in ICS.

Anyone else experience battery issues since the upgrade.

I'm wondering if perhaps its just i've been playing with the phone more for the last 2 days.

takes time to settle down ... need at least 2 days / full charge cycles before one can complain

I've got an i9100, bought from DSE with an XT sim.. no updates available on phone or via Kies. Would I be expecting an update from Telecom or does that only apply to i9100T?

you may be missing out on an OTA update but it WONT be an XT one unless your phone was telecom branded ... being a non T S2 I doubt it was a telecom branded phone

the guys could tell you which firmware is best for you but i'm not sure

My predictive text is still working the same as it was before the upgrade.  No apparent issues noticed yet.

I seem to be going through more battery power but I think that is because I am playing around with it more discovering the new features.  I will attempt to resort to normal usage today and see what happens but it's difficult to resist the urge to pick it up and play around with it a bit more  (I was carefully choosing my words there LOL)
