michaelmurfy:coffeebaron: No one else has, so I'll ask: why do you have a DSL service, when you have a hi speed cable service?
Bulk downloading maybe? Cable has a max of 150gb cap I believe.
Got it in one! With 150GB it's not really feasible to take advantage of streaming video services like Netflix and Amazon and plus TCL/VF's transparent proxy plays havoc with Unblock-US service.
But I have kept the cable service but ramped it down to 20GB just in case there are developments plan-wise in this service.
The most noticeable thing about going from 100Mbs to about 13Mbs is when a large download is taking place, other DSL users in the house are impacted noticeably but on cable they hardly know it's happening. That means I have to be careful when I have large downloads going on.
