Optimism appears to have been well-founded....my latency to interfaces on sjbr2.global-gateway.net.nz [203.96.120.198 and 203.96.120.194] appear to have dropped significantly:

--- sjbr2.global-gateway.net.nz ping statistics ---
61 packets transmitted, 61 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 134.565/149.908/191.954/16.715 ms

That compares to an avg of 181ms. I will test again tonight to see if there is a performance difference at night, but I haven't experienced anything significant of that nature previously.

Peak time performance:

--- 203.96.120.198 ping statistics ---
62 packets transmitted, 62 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 134.711/154.663/211.296/17.873 ms

For my uses, this is tremendously better. Thanks!

On the same topic I have been getting around 250-300ms in league of legends instead of the normal 180 for the past few nights. Irritating.

I would have to agree with you here

I would normally would ping 140 - 170. But it seems i average 230 - 250.

Even you might not think its a big change... You can quite notice it easily

This started about 2 weeks ago as well

Exactly the same problem to LOL here as well, usually get 180 - 200ms but now getting 260 - 340 ping consistently over the last few days.

LoL was what alerted me to the problem. Since discussing the issue on this forum, my own ping has dropped back to ~170-180 typically. It got as bad as 220-230, but it is no where near the 140-150 it used to be.... :\
