K1w1G33k: Yes!! Finally getting VDSL2 installed this Thursday afternoon after over a month long wait for work to be done on the roadside cabinet - apparently I'm the first on that cabinet to get VDSL2 hence the delay :S

Current speeds on ADSL2+ @ 650m from cabinet
13.5 Mbit down
0.89 Mbit up

You're a similar distance as me, and getting about the same ADSL speeds as I was before the upgrade. I've been on VDSL about 6 weeks now and am getting 25-30 down and 8-9 up (measured wirelessly).

Ahh good, that's some very decent speeds for the same price I'm already paying on 150GB ADSL plan ;)

Will post some initial speed stats this evening all going well this afternoon.

So here was my old ADSL2+ speeds:

And today I have this on VDSL2:

Not sure why my upload is still low though, router page says I'm connected at 10,360kbps up and 24,576kbps down.

Any thoughts as to the only slightly higher increase in upload speed anyone? Profile tuning perhaps?

i suspect your on a VDSL2 port but not a VDSL2 profile at telecoms end.

Ah now that makes sense with the speed I'm getting. I'll email PL for some assistance :)

This is likely right. Profile takes a few hours to switch and during that time you max out your ADSL stats like this. Once the profile is updated you'll see your actual speeds :)

I checked it at lunch which is almost 24 hours after the install was done, and still at the same speeds at the moment.

May pay to call in and ask them to make sure the Tech called for the profile change, or PM me details and I'll look into it

Chorus connected up our VDSL today, took them about 2.5hours as they were a little amaturish as didnt record the previous connections for the phone and alarm and had to work that all out again. in reality it should have taken them about 35 minutes

Previously on ADSL

Currently on VDSL

Hoping it will get a little better

Going by that attenuation I think you've got a lot of tweak room left.
You're currently on DLM6 but on DLM1 you'll possibly be hitting the limit of the 8b profile (high 40mbit download).
Don't be worried if you see sync speeds go up and down, its just DLM doing its thing (mine had a small drop before I got put on the 17a profile as the DLM actually went backwards first).

Thats good to hear, there is about 100m of cable between the modem and the cabinet and from the ETP its all cat5 .

Will be interesting to see how it goes over the next few weeks.

Yep give it the full 10 day training window.
These are my current stats, which is why I say you should see a decent increase.
I'm currently on DLM2 (was on DLM1 but I did a bunch of resets trying to get my bridge mode working, and since I was outside the training window I've never made it back again).
