joker97: who looks after the "quality" of data? in Dunedin during peak hours the 3G speeds are very very slow and they go up to ADSL speeds at night ... perhaps 4G will fix it? when's it due down here?

Same sort of thing in Whakatane; Telecom 3G is 2-3 Mb/s in the day and 4-5 at night. I remember when it was 10+ all the time :(

Having said that, these new prices look great and I expect to move to them as soon as my contract's up (four months to go!)

Telecom also needs to add auto top-up option for prepaid customers.

Do whatever you want to do man.

If someone can do 1G Data pack for $20 i'd probably go for that. Minutes + Txt doesn't really matter to me.

As others have said, 500MB isn't really that much in this day and age

2 Degrees already have it, you just have to buy 6 month's worth at once.

It is only useful though if you have Broadband Zone coverage where you plan to use.

Telecom now do 1.5GB for $29,  or 500MB for $15 if you just want data
