I've been having a bit of trouble recently with data usage on my phone and the reminders that come to tell me that my data is / almost is out. Today I received a text advising that my data is almost gone and I should buy a 500MB pack for $15. I just checked and I've only used about 45MB out of 500 and my billing cycle is almost up- is there a way to turn these off [but still have the legitimate reminders come]? it seems like they're just advertising and I already pay a premium for my cellphone!

Normally you should only get alerts when your usage is nearing it's limit. So it sounds strange you were getting an alert when you had only used less than 10% (unless you had your alert set there)

Do you have multiple numbers on your account which may be set to text you if they get near their cap (or even home broadband?)

Only one cellphone on the account and my home broadband isn't anywhere near its limit either........
I didn't alter any limits, so I'm not sure what the deal is here. I don't want to turn off legitimate warnings...
