I am trying to set up a customers laptop with the Sierra Wireless A595 CDMA EVDO Aircard. I can install it ok, but when I click connect in the watcher it gets to authentication, and gives an error saying something along the lines of "No PPP control protocals configured". Can anyone help, the computer is running windows XP, have tired re-installing and upgrading software, but Sierra's website seems to be down??

Cheers

I would open the network management applet, find the connectoid and change its properties to ask for username and password. It could be that it simply is not being saved or not filled. Then try connecting with this instead of the watcher.

That's what I have to do on Windows Vista.

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried using a manual connection, but so far it just errors.

I will try what you have advised, althrough this should not be the case for XP, as it is for Vista.
