Since having a crappy experience with the vigor 130 I'm interest in whether I can buy via telecom a pace v5542g or do I need to be a business to buy it?

According to the site: http://www.telecom.co.nz/business/ourproducts/broadband/modem/

Or if you'd prefer to grab your own, call 0800 business to order.

For ADSL & VDSL broadband plans, order the Technicolor modem at $138.26 +GST

For Fibre broadband plans, order the Pace Modem at $299+GST

One would assume that you can order the modem over the phone regardless of whether you are residential or business ...

Could you not get the 130 working even without the AE?

RunningMan: Could you not get the 130 working even without the AE?

Posted a thread not too long ago about it - Vigor 130 and Airport Extreme 802.11ac

T
he problem is that the modem keeps spontaneously rebooting when I was using it the last time I had it hence another follow up to whether it is an incompatibility or was my experience just a situation of bad luck with Vigor 130 normally working without a problem. I am hoping that the WAN fix on the latest firmware for Airport Extreme will help but I have a feeling the issue has more to do with the modem itself than the router.

I saw that thread, but thought you'd given up and sold the AE.

Have you tried using the 130 without the AE - if so, did you still have problems?

Yes, directly plugged it in - I also tried it in bridge mode and numerous other methods.
