I totally agree with that can't understand their thinking in leaving these features off what are supposed to be the one stop in home entertainment systems.....that is only if you live in the right country.

BigPipeNZ:

(And 30 Playstations is not a lot of money compared to what the other guys spend on things like TV ads, which we don't do at all)

Soo since 'other guys make ads every month or so we can expect more give aways instead :D :D

Pretty much. Won't necessarily be every month, and won't be playstation 4s all the time, but got plenty more stuff up our sleeves.

(We do ads, but just not tv ads. TV is very expensive, and the kind of people we want as customers don't tend to watch much live tv anyway. We'll leave the 'giganaires' to other ISPs)

Yep, just started in the last couple of days. :)

Our first 'non-digital' ads. Looking forward to seeing how they go.

Would you have uptake stats etc on the PS4 promotion and when advertising was released + an indication of customer base size available for public knowledge?

Cheers

Maybe you could start advertising on Hulu. I'm sure you have customers who use that service.

Yes I do, and no I'm not telling you :P

The comps in July will mostly be across different social media areas - facebook, geekzone etc,  so you can work out your chances based on the number of people who might see them there.  Not all our customers will 'Like' us on facebook, and there will be some comps open to non-customers too.

Haha, never heard of 'George' myself but maybe give out a few on different radio stations for exta/'free' advertising too?

I'm on LifeFM or Rhema mostly, and here heaps of different brands (skull candy headphones was new to me last month) plugged through "giveaways" so surely a few of these PS4s on target audience radio stations could net you a good uptake too?

First competition for July is up on Facebook!

This one is open to anybody in NZ (not just Bigpipe customers)

We want you to create a Tinder dating profile for your favourite video game character and post it on our facebook wall.

Be as creative as you can. Use of photoshop is encouraged.
In a week's time we'll pick the 4 we like the best and each one will win a brand new PS4.
See our Facebook page for some examples.  https://www.facebook.com/BigPipeNZ
(Ts and Cs etc on our website)
