Ambushed: Can anyone please post screenshots?

I can do it when I get home this evening, but won't be until about 7pm.

If you are getting sync and PPP Auth,  then that suggests your connection is fine, and it's the modem that is screwy.

If you followed the instructions above (removing all existing connections, adding only a new WAN one, and leaving all settings as default except putting something in the username/password slot) - which seem to work for everyone else including me - then I'd say it might be worth re-trying them over again from a factory reset, just in case you mis-read it the first time and accidentally changed something without realising.
The other explanation is that your modem is faulty.

FYI TimA - I used the NF4V without a public IP and it works fine, so I don't think it is CGNAT

I have one and it is fine with CG Nat - the ext IP isnt in the range you normally associate with private IP's so there isnt a chance of a conflict.

Old firmware had messed up defaults, new one apparantly fixes it so perhaps try a firmware update before factory resetting it.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I have done a factory reset multiple times. What is the best way to do a firmware update without a internet connection?

sorry forgot to do this last night. Kiddies were playing up.

Have you tried emailing Bigpipe?  they won't support detailed modem stuff, but might be able to see if the issue is something else.

Ambushed: That photo is someone else's my mistake. Mine is blank in default GW and DNS but green for DSL an PPP on the dianostics page

ok, here's what I have

maybe post yours instead of somebody else's (how the hell did you manage to post a screenshot of somebody else's modem settings?)

ETA: Ok, this is weird.  you posted back in Feb about getting this modem setup and you managed to get it working, so what has happened since then?

Yeah I know - How Ironic. Waiting on a Chorus visit as they think there is something wrong possibly on their side of things.

not really 'ironic',  just not very useful for the people on here putting the effort in trying to help you out.

there is a major difference between the likely problems that could occur when getting a modem set up for the first time and when problems just 'happen' and your broadband stops working.

your initial post strongly gave the impression you were setting it up for the first time when actually that isn't right at all.

Well, I was posting from a smart phone (let people know that this is a irrelevant SS) and WAN summary screenshots won't help anyone with issues.

Turns out I was right, all settings were correct & "NonprayingMantis' posting the WAN summary did not help my situation. (Connected now once the exchange side was looked at)

If you had mentioned at the start that you had previously been connected fine with this modem, then "contact Bigpipe"  would have been one of the first solutions suggested.  As it is, you wasted days fiddling with settings because the information you provided was useless.

I posted the WAN screenshot because that's what you posted at the start and you just asked for 'screenshots' without specifying a particular screen.  Once again, more info would have been helpful.
