What speeds do you get LAN to LAN with a file copy? Also I'm just assuming you are doing your testing over Ethernet and not Wireless right?

yeah sure over LAN :)

from PC to my NAS at max speeds 11-12MB/s

nas is connected to supplied router too.

hio77: Looks like your upstream is staying reasonably consistent, but downstream seems to be loosing everything..

Thats very odd behaviour.

unlikely, but have you double checked your not seeing an IO flush issue?

Sadly not, this one is with it first writing to SSD and then to SATA. Same torrent as yesterday, slightly more seeders. Not seeing the sharp drop offs so would be pretty happy to see this all the time.

ild be interested in seeder density and such...

if a public torrent, i wouldnt be surprised at that, although ild hope a little less sharp jitters than that! well seeded private coming off boxes, should stay pretty well pegged.

for the triallists, a couple of things happened that are different from 'normal' customers

1) for the very early ones, we provisioned you on the older Chorus plans (hence why you are on 100/50 but we don't actually sell it)
It might be best to switch you to either the 100/20 or the 200/20 and see how that goes (just make the request via our support page, should be all fine). Might be some unusual configuration with that plan.

2) we also provided a few different pieces of CPE with the trial to see how they go. Clearly the huawei is a bit 'iffy'. It does seem to struggle at 100Mbps, and some of our testing here shows it topping out at 40Mbps. If any of you guys are using that, it may be worth investing in some better gear that can handle the 100Mbps+ speeds better.

I got into the trail about a month ago but despite fibre being in my street for months now and both my neighbours on it, it seemed Chrous botched the under the road part of my install. When they came to haul the fibre 3-4 weeks ago they found the fibre encased in concrete(!!!) so had have to go back to civil approval to fix it. Chorus won't provide any updates on this, so just wondering if anyone knows typically how long Chorus take to address problems like this from experience?

Has anyone else received notice that their BigPipe UFB trial is ending on the 25th (Christmas Day), and if we choose not to continue we'll simply be disconnected on that day?

I'm wondering if the dates were automatically chosen based on how long I've been on the trial, as ending the trial on Christmas day seems like a poor choice. Funny thing is I'm happy to stay with BigPipe, I just haven't had any sort of conformation to say they won't disconnect me, my family won't be impressed with that sort of Christmas present... :)

Well my "trial" is due to go in on Christmas Eve so I hope not :)

Continous Chorus screw ups here though which meant my install has been going on over 2 months and this is the 8th attempt. Doubt it will happen though but would be nice :)
