Late afternoon Yahoo email got quite flaky, refreshes failing, deleted emails reappearing in inbox and basically misbehaving big whats unusual, but then noticed page loads and searches etc all started acting strange, timing out in all browsers.

I was a bit pushed so looked at the spark site which loaded in chrome 'unformatted' but eventually after a few refreshes IE11 had it up in fairly readable form and noted the service status. Same in Firefox.

Returned an hour later and frankly the internet was randomly dysfunctional so  a few reboots and router resets I dialled 123 and told  up to a 45 min wait.... Gave up as I dared not risk any online real work.  During all this I tried running and it was as usual ping and download but completely failed any upload, ran several times same result. Ran Spark speedtest  and several times exact same result as with other...perfect download, zero upload.

Gave up. Just returned to PC and all back to normal averaging 20ms, 12.16 Mbps down and for the 1st time all late pm 0.83 Mbps upload which is I guess better than nothing. Email seems normal again.  Can I guess the talent here might concur the flaky or non existent upload capability was screwing up the email and page loads?

By the way I switched to the 'commercial' dns numbers as kindly advised on this forum during the big outage last week. The changed dns worked perfect and I've left it be as it was until this afternoon running real sweet for work and play pc use.

My internet was fine yesterday.
Playing Destiny on XBL pretty much all day, and streaming Twitch and browsing a few websites.

Perhaps it was DNS. I have a local DNS cache and also have Google as a tertiary name server as a backup.
