Yes, you can 'key lock' it. You can also set a PIN to also lock it down further.

Yep there are a couple of built in lock options ('keylock' with a displayed sequence to unlock, or 'pin' or 'password' which are self explanatory).

Lots of third party apps around for this stuff as well.

Goes great in my pocket!

This is the skype I use, PDA SKYPE It worked perfectly on the harrier and "works" with this touch though incoming audio is choppy.

Just extract it to a folder and run it.

For those who havent seen one in person, the OKTA Touch is really quite small...

Screen looks cruddy from my lame point-and-shoot photo, its actually brilliantly clear with vivid colours.

I called into a telecom store and had a nosey at one. Im keen alright! Played with the touch interface and it was great. Was easy to compose and send texts (at the expense of the telecom employee Tongue out )

Another question, how does the backlight fare in daylight? With the screen all being LCD does it wash out at all?

I plan to get a touch in the end of this month. so small and light! can't wait to get one! I compared it with my bulky treo in store, ahh..... hopefully this little baby will work for me, and I will sell my treo. I'm using the spb pocket plus 4.0 now, and I can use finger scrolling pages in the PIE, but only in PIE and outlook, anywhere else is not possible to use the finger scrolling. and I just wonder if the touch can do the finger scrolling in all the programs... does anybody tried that on the touch yet?

Finger scrolling works in a few places, but personally I dont use it much, im too used to scrolling with the navigation key...

The TouchFlo interface to get to contacts, pictures etc is very good though...

@person who asked about daylight viewing - its 'good' but not 'brilliant'. I use phoneAlarm to do many things, including setting my backlight to 100% between 10am and 4pm, and 40% at other times. This makes the screen really easy to see during the day when I am likely to use it outside, and down to normal battery-friendly levels at other times. (In fact at 7pm it automatically switches to 20% for me).

I'm a long term treo user, from 650, 750v, to 700wx, u know how much I depend on the physical keyboard and navigation keys, u know how much I trust my lovely treo. of course I will miss my treo "a lot" if I go for a touch, but, I must abandon my treo, for some very personal reasons. I really wish the skype team will work harder so that we will have a new version which can run smoothly on the touch. maybe I won't sell my treo until I'm ok with the touch. there is still many chances I might go back to my old treo again. coz I know, that everything I can do on my treo won't be 100% compatible with the touch, I'm afraid I will be let down by the touch (morphgear emulator! no physical keys on the touch!! nada...). maybe just get a touch for now, and look for another better one next year...
does anybody have any clue that telecom will ever upgrade the software to support rev a?? that is one of the reason I wanna buy this new baby :-D . coz I can hardly upload any large file on my treo now on rev 0, I don't know why. and hope I won't scratch the screen on this baby too soon :-p

The display is marginal in bright sunlight.... just usable (grey lynn festival) though it had it at 70% brightness only.

I do wish it were REV A, it's only a REV 0 device but the connection is extrordinarily stable and consistent..

Speedtests were 64Kb up and 560 Kb down and stable as a rock.
Nokia N95 is 1536Kb down and 280Kb up but less reliable.

TONY! you have such huge hands! The touch looks twice the size in mine!
