Sister's laptop was having page loading issues so checked DNS servers. None on network card and none in UFB router.

 

Excuse my ignorance, but are the DNS requests port forwarded directly?? Or something??

Typically the PC sends DNS requests to its gateway (the router), that forwards DNS requests to the DNS servers that it's dynamically assigned by the ISP.

 

Have a google for dnsmasq, that's what they normally run

If there's no DNS in the adapters then it will use whatever the router gave to the device - on Windows run ipconfig /all in a Command Prompt to see the running values.
