dnb4life: ok i reset my log and monitored it until it reached its max which is 25 pages (only took about an hour or 2). near the end of the log my internet died for about 20 mins before it worked again. this is the log for when it crashed... (most of the pages were filled with the proto 17 message and occasionally i'd get about 7 or 8 of those " get 0xF at Addr 0xA30085B0" but the net went down when those DSL sinc messages started)

The Frag messages are simply telling you that data packets are getting fragmented and the get 0xF message is generated when you access the status page of your router.
It looks like the analyzer will show lots of forward error corrections (corrected transmission errors, this is what the interleaving is for) they may be able to place you onto a profile with deeper interleaving to counteract this but that has the side-effect of reduced connect rates.  I would guess you are about 3.5km from the exchange and there is some sort of minor electrical interference somewhere along the route your copper pair travels.
I would chase xtra up and find out what the analyzer results are and whether they have adjusted the profile yet or not...

so i called telecom for about the 20th time this year and complained about my inconsistent speeds and constant disconnections and they were more unhelpful than ever. they guy i talk to never knows anything and they always put me on hold. does telecom use a call centre in india or something coz i swear the last 5 times i've called it's always been an indian accent. i even explained the testing i've been doing and i swear it just goes in one ear out the other. i ended up reading that last post word for word to the guy to which he replied "i don't know anything about fixing that problem sir but let me speak to my supervisor." after about 30 mins of unplugging phones, turning off other computers and resetting the router about 3 times he tried to tell me that my speeds were perfectly reasonable for a go large subscriber. i then AGAIN had to explain that i wasn't having a problem with low speeds i was having a problem with my adsl dropping about 5 times a day. after all this they want me to do a testing for them over the next 3 days, 3 times a day where i have to unplug every phone and every computer but mine in the house and run speed tests. i even tried to explain that this is still not addressing my problem. useless. utterly useless. i can't believe they actually expect me to spend 3 days doing testing for them, it's not like they're paying me!
